We stock a huge range of high-quality European-made ribbing fabrics, chosen for their excellent stretch and recovery - two essential qualities for functional, professional-looking garments.
Good quality ribbing stretches easily (for example over a head or foot) and importantly - then returns to its original shape once worn. This recovery ensures cuffs, waistbands, and neckbands sit neatly and hold their shape over time.
Ribbing vs Ribbed Knit
Ribbing fabric is a thicker, firmer knit specifically designed for cuffs, waistbands, and neckbands. It provides better structure, durability, and shape retention for garment bands.
Ribbed jersey knits, on the other hand, are lighter-weight fabrics better designed to make entire garments, rather than trims.
For knit garments, ribbing is the best choice for cuffs and bands, delivering superior performance and a beautiful, professional finish on your finished garment!
