Shipping and Handling Information
Thanks for choosing to shop with Wattle Hill Fabrics! As a small family business and fellow fabric lovers, we sure do appreciate it!
We are excited for you to receive your sewing goodies as soon as possible. That’s why we pick, cut, pack, and ship your order as soon as we can. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 to 3 business days (most often it is sooner than that); however, during peak times that may be extended.
If for any reason there is an issue or delay with your order, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss this.
As we are an online business and not set up for retail customers, unfortunately we cannot offer a local pickup service.
Combining Orders / Holding Orders
Currently we are unable to combine orders or hold orders for later dispatch.
We’ll let you know once your order is on its way so you can get excited for your delivery! All our orders are tracked on dispatch - We email you the tracking details, so keep an eye out for it hiding in your spam. Please contact us via our website Messenger Chat function or Email for assistance.
We ship throughout Australia via Courier or Australia Post at a flat rate of $9.95
We offer FREE postage on Australian orders over $225.00 (excluding shipping charges).
Orders paid via Bank Transfer (Direct Deposit) will be processed and dispatched once the funds are received in our bank account.
If you live in an area serviced by Private Courier and you’d prefer Australia Post, please drop us a note in the Delivery Instructions at Checkout.
Please allow 3 – 7 business days for delivery after dispatch (longer during peak times and delivery to remote areas).
We know that sometimes an order is urgent – so we offer a priority next business day dispatch service and shipping via Express Post (Australia Post) within Australia.
All Express Post orders must be placed by 6pm AEST for next business day dispatch.
Express Post is a flat rate of $14.95 for orders up to a maximum of 5kg.
Orders over 5kg (larger/bulky orders such as winter knits) are not able to be sent via Express Post and will be sent via standard shipping, with the Express Post charge refunded.
Within New Zealand
We ship to our New Zealand sewing friends at a flat rate of $19.95 up to a maximum of 5kg.
For orders over 5kg, an additional $5.00 per kilogram (or part of) will apply.
We can only accept PayPal or Credit Card as payment for New Zealand orders.
The postage rate is adjusted once New Zealand is selected in your Shopping Cart or selected at Checkout.
Once your order is packed and weighed, unfortunately no further items can be added.
In exciting news - as we are now Registered for GST in New Zealand, orders under NZ$1000 will not incur additional custom’s charges.
Please allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery after dispatch (longer during peak times and delivery to remote areas).
NZ Freight Guide
As a general guide for estimating your order’s shipping charge:
- 1m of Art Gallery Fabrics Cotton weighs approx. 190grams - other brands of cotton are slightly heavier.
- 1m of European Jersey weighs approx. 420grams
- 1m of European French Terry weighs approx. 470grams
- This is an estimate only and will vary between brands, designers, and fabrics.
- The dimensional size of the parcel is also considered and may alter the shipping price.
- We will contact you to discuss if an additional shipping charge is required.
We currently only ship within Australia and New Zealand.
Additional Shipping Information
Once your order is dispatched, shipping delays may occur due to factors outside of our control. We use reputable delivery partners for our shipping; however, we are unable to control how quickly a parcel is delivered once it leaves us. Contacting the carrier directly and quoting the tracking details provided is the best way to get more insight into your parcel’s location and estimated delivery.
Shipping delays can occur due to incorrect address information. To avoid this, please ensure your delivery address is correct when you place your order.
If a parcel is unclaimed or returned to us due to a shipping error, we’ll reach out to you via the contact details provided with your order to discuss re-sending options. Please note additional shipping charges will apply for re-delivery. Freight charges and a restocking fee will be applicable to refund requests for parcels returned to sender.
Haven’t received your order? Please let us know as soon as possible so we may assist with helping to resolve this. Please ensure to notify us of missing or non-delivered parcels within 14 days for Express Post shipping; 20 days for standard Australian shipping; and 40 days for shipping to New Zealand.
